:: My Guitar Presets ::

These can be a starting point for those who still have their Zoom G3 or G5s. I find the sliding pedal-style concept amazing, and I feel this will be my rig for a lot of years to come. In fact, I've done this page because I feel happier than I ever had with my tone and amazed at how practical this is. I love the Harley Benton pedal amp because I can turn the volume with my foot, and I can adjust my tone with the EQ without touching my presets. But mostly I don't touch it, just when I'm playing the Ibanez RGT320Z which is darker sounding or to lower the highs on the RGT220A due to the ash body that makes it more trebly.

Graphic EQ important note:
For several months, I had been playing my HSS Ibanez RG550LTD more than the other RGs because I was in love with the single coil neck tone. So I became obsessed with it, and I wanted to reproduce it on my other RGs. You've probably heard about humbucker split, removing coils on one of the bobbins, and maybe some more tricks I don't know about.

A couple of months I was thinking about it, again, and I told myself: what if it was an EQ issue? So I asked ChatGPT what is/are the frequencies which a single coil is more sensitive to. So, these last weeks, I've worked on an EQ that could bring to my humbuckers a more "single-coilish" tone, and I'm enjoying it quite a lot! And I can turn it on or off whenever I want to. If you have an EQ pedal or EQ feature on your pedalboard, give it a try by raising the frequencies between 2.5 and 3.4kHz.

Here we go:

1// ACOUSTIC
Like it a lot. I get a full, acoustic but boosted tone, lovely for chords or soloing.

2// DIRTY MESA
Regular preset, a smooth booster based on the compressor and an overdrive with my favourite OD, the Squeak. Because it squeals!

3// DUAL D-ZEL
And here we have the double OD thing, a wonderful Comp/OD combination, and again, the Squeak as a heavier OD. You can also combine both for some extra juice!
